Terms & Conditions

  1. To be eligible for this offer, the member must have activated their 2024 Regular individual membership with the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) by the deadline of January 19, 2024, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST).
    1. "Activated" is defined as renewed their SfN membership or joined/rejoined SfN. To be considered "activated"/active for 2024 and thus eligible for this offer, the member's My SfN account must reflect that their 2024 Regular membership dues have been paid/received in full by SfN prior to January 20, 2024, midnight EST.
    2. "2024 membership" is defined as SfN membership active for the period of January 1, 2024–December 31, 2024.
    3. "Individual membership" is defined as SfN membership that applies solely to one person and not a larger entity such as an institution, program, organization, or company. SfN Institutional Program (IP) members and Sustaining Associate Members (SAM) are NOT eligible for this offer.
    4. "Regular membership" is defined as/limited to only the following five (5) membership categories:
      1. Regular
      2. Regular Category I
      3. Regular Category II
      4. Regular Category III
      5. Regular Mexico

  2. Offer is valid for a one-time 50% reduction of the price of one (1) 2024 Trainee individual membership with SfN.
    1. Offer cannot be applied toward dues for other years, or for memberships that fall under Regular, Affiliate, IP, or SAM membership categories.
    2. "Trainee membership" is defined as/limited to only the following fifteen (15) membership categories:
      1. Postdoctoral
      2. Postdoctoral Category I
      3. Postdoctoral Category II
      4. Postdoctoral Category III
      5. Postdoctoral Mexico
      6. Graduate Student
      7. Graduate Student Category I
      8. Graduate Student Category II
      9. Graduate Student Category III
      10. Graduate Student Mexico
      11. Undergraduate Student
      12. Undergraduate Student Category I
      13. Undergraduate Student Category II
      14. Undergraduate Student Category III
      15. Undergraduate Student Mexico
     
  3. In January 2024, SfN will send an email with instructions for how to take advantage of this offer to all 2024 Regular members who meet the above eligibility criteria.
    1. The instructions will include a one-time-use promotional code that can be applied toward one (1) Postdoctoral or Student SfN membership. 
    2. It is the Regular member's responsibility to provide the promotional code to a trainee. SfN will not distribute the code directly to the trainee.

  4. Offer must be redeemed by October 9, 2024, noon Central Daylight Time (CDT).

  5.  Offer can only be applied once per eligible individual.

  6.  Offer cannot be transferred, auctioned, traded, copied, bartered, modified or sold.

  7.  Offer is not redeemable for cash or cash equivalent.

  8.  Offer cannot be combined with any other offer. 

  9.  Offer may not be applied if all conditions above are not met.
